hah happy accident here..I was using my lindys stamp gang starburst sprays & I used a paper towl in the box use to spray in..well teh next day I went to spray something else and saw how pretty the paper towel looked..so my brain started thinking hey, I should try to make some flowers with this. so I used my bigshot and nesties and wow..now I have some very pretty flowers, and I recycled!!! gotta love happy accidents

I made a sparkly card for Tanya, cause she adds sparkle to my life with her fun challenges and upbeat attitude. I used starburst sprays from Lindy's stamp gang in 2 shades of pink on the paper doily and then glittered the silk flowers for more sparkle. I added a cute owl on the card and another one inside that I made into a magnet.

I made this CArd for the Paperhoarders group. The DT was asked to MAke a project about something you are thankful for. This was a hard theme for me right now as i am losing a close relitive right now, he is passing from pancreatic cancer and I am deeply saddened by this. so I am not feeling all that grateful right now. Then I started to think about it and realized the thing that never fails to lift me up and make me feel better is my close friendships. So even in this time of worry and sorrow, I have my friendships to be thankful for. teh stamps are stampin up! and I used shimmer spray from LIndy's stamp gang on the slik flowers and the flourishy thing.

this is a slat flag I made from a cedar shingle, scrap of pine(teh star) and slats from a building over 100 years old. it's pretty good size..the longest slat measures 16 inches long.

ok, so the weekend challenge at paperhoarders was to use a die cut on anything but a card. so this is what i came up with..ah little(about 4 inches across) wreath. the spider is from the cricut cart stretch your imagination. the the spider web, ghost and banner are stamps. teh bats are ribbon.

Our assignment was to make something for sweetest day..now i must admit, I don't know if that is an actual day or just a theme, but i took it seriously. I am so excited to announce I made the DT for paperhoarders , it's a facebook group of papercrafters. this is my first assignment, and I used digi stamps from lindsay's stamp stuff my other DT gig..wow I really covered here! lol the cute measuring tape and book images are from lindsays and teh saying is from unity. so, yesterday while tropical storm Irene was making the outside wild & crazy, I made calming scenes on atc's. I used stampscapes stamps and distress inks. then I went in with watercolor pencils and added a bit of brown to the rocks and a lighter green to the trees.

first off let me start by saying Lindsay's stamp stuff is having a 40% off sale today , go get some goodies! ok for this get well card I used a digi stamp from Lindsay's fancy flower set. I colored it with a prisma marker then spritzed it with shimmer mist, I hope you can tell how beautifully shimmery it is IRL. I then added a dimentional to the center to make it pop. hahaha evidently I faux stitch the same way I actually stitch..crooked and uneven..lol Don't forget to check out

An ornie I made for a challenge

the challenge was from paper horders and it was to alter something round. So last weds on my girls night out I "borrowed" a coaster from teh muddy. today i altered it. I used 2 shades of red glimmermist for the background and gold GM for the top thing..what is that called? then I uses very shiny/glittery gold embossing powder over the stamped image. I finished it off with red and gold gems.

doily/jar luminary

a friend showed me a link to a jar luminary similar to this and I just knew I had to make this. I used Helmar's acid free glue to adhere the doily to the jar and to my surprise it did not make the doily stiff! I love that it is stills oft on the jar, though trust me it is not coming off. I wanted to make some of these for my craft fair table, so that means I wanted it to have a country/prim feel. so i added some homespun fabric (also adhered with Helmar's acid free glue) and teh I added some prima flowers and buttons with Helmar's 450 quick dry glue..I love this stuff! I will never buy glue dots again. in my pics I have a battery operated tea light ibn teh jar, but a regular tea light candle works well too. I love the pretty designs these luminaries cast on the walls in a darkened room.

I am back from vacation, both the Carribean (it was fab) and the posting one! I absorbed myself in scrapping my vacation, but I'm back now. For my Lindsay stamp stuff project this week I used the black invite from the Valentine add on kit and the yummy cupcake from the sweet stuff digi stamp set. I added a sentiment from studio G and some stickles. Lindsay has a really cute new soccer party kit, be sure to check that out. It's Lindsay digi stamp Thursday!

Happy digi Thursday everyone. For my Lindsay stamp stuff project this week I thought I'd try making barn stars with Lindsay's homemade holidays digi paper printed on cardstock. I have made a few of these barn stars on plain cardstock but thought I'd try it with a pattern paper. you can fin the tutorial for how to make the barn stars here. I then made a card by embossing cream cardstock with a star cuttlebug folder them inking it with distress ink. I mounted my star, did a boarder with the same paper and added a button. wow Christmas is upon us!! I still have some baking and cooking to do. This week for my Lindsay stamp stuff project Lindsay wanted us to do quick tags, well I made this one in less than 5 minutes with just scraps that were on my table! With so much left to do, this was my kind of project. I used the adorable winter wear set to make my tag. my nesties made it a cinch. I made a bunch of these chip board snowflakes a while back to I grabbed one to adorn my tag..gotta have some glitter, right? wow, i can't believe Christmas is so close!! I could use a couple more weeks. ;)
First off I want to mention that Thursday through saturday Lindsay's stamp stuff is 25% off at her mygrafico shop. For our lss projects this week we were asked to do quick & easy packaging. So for my project I made a cute lil gift bag using the nifty gifties svg set. I printed it out and cut it by hand..yes it can be done!lol I simply added a festive red bow and a sparkly stocking button. I then fill it with 4 yummy dove chocoltes. These are great to carry around and pass out to people you run into. Or would be great do for your childrens classmates, teachers, whoever. Well, Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is drawing near..I think the Griswolds have moved in down the street from me..lol. I must confess I hadn't started making my Christmas cards yet..well until yesterday that is. Lindsay asked us to use a theme this week of quick cards that we can mass produce if we want, and boy did I love that! This is the card I came up with using a digi image from Lindsays stamp stuff, this is from here natures Christmas set. There is very little coloring, so that was fast. I used bo bunny paper. I simply added ribbon to the image used a border punch down the side of the card.I like teh offset front, and that was it. I made 4 of these yesterday in less than 1/2 hour!! in a half hour you could have 4 of these, in envies, all addressed and ready to mail! wow, Lindsay's stamp stuff has some really cute and fun new things . I had lots of fun deciding what to use first! So, for my project this week I made a gift card holder. My friend Christie has a wonderful tutorial on her blog if you want to make one of your own. The paper I used is from Lindsay's homemade holiday paper pack, and I used an image from the vintage Christmas labels set. I made a tag for teh inside to write a note on. Happy Thursday everyone. My stamping friend Erin had a baby boy Tuesday, a nice healthy baby boy! so for my Lindsay stamp stuff project this week I made her a card to send her my congrats. I used the bootie from the baby and bows set, and also just the top of teh boy bingo card. I ran some coordinations cardstock through an embossing folder then lightly sanded it for the background. Then I added some stickles, cause everything is better with glitter, right? For my LSS project this week I made a thinking of you card for a friend in need of a pick me up after having one planned surgery and one unplanned surgery. I thought this cute image from the pretty primitives set was just thing to cheer her up. I also used teh thinking of you ticket from the lovely tickets set. I colored teh image with copicsa nd bics and added a little blue stickles to the birds wing and stickle dots to the sunflower center. I printed 2 images and cut out the center of teh sunflower, bird, and several petals and pop dotted them on for lots of dimension. added a little ribbon and there it is. Ok For my LSS project this week I made a Thinking of you card in honor of October being breast cancer awareness month. I have been so busy making Halloween goodies that I have not made very many Breast cancer projects. So for my card I used the all around phrases set and teh ribbon freebie from Lindsay's stamp stuff. my finished card is 5 1/2x 5 1/2. I added some ribbon and pink stickles to finish it off. Happy Thursday to all!
I am excited about my lindsay stamp stuff project today..it's a prim Halloween ornie.
I printed off this awesome image from the creepy crow set on a piece of tea stained muslin. how you ask? well I first printed it on a piece of cardstock, then I place my muslin over that image right where I wanted it then taped the muslin in place and ran it back through the printer..tada,,perfectly placed right where I wanted it. I then found this prim star fabric in my stash and made an ornie with my image, added a wire hanger and fabric scrap to finish it off. It is with a heavy heart that I made my Lindsay stamp stuff project this week. My best and longest friend ( we have been friends since kindergarten) lost her mom unexpectently Monday morning. She is none other than our own DT member Tracey. Tracey and her family are in my thoughts and prayers. This is the card I made for her. I used the sea side sketches set. I added some waves and used rock candy distress stickles on them. colored with prisma markers and pencils for shading. witches brew and some treats too!This week I chose to use the vintage halloween labels from Lindsay's stamp stuff. I will give the recipe for my witches brew at the bottom of this post. I love these fun labels, and right now Lindsay is running a 30% off sale so run don't walk to get some cool goodies. the treats are in a triangle shaped paper box I made. WITCHES BREW
1 20 oz bottle of water -1/2 full
1 single serve packet Chrystal light (I used pomagranet)
tonic or seltzer water
flavored rum ( I used lime)
mix packet in the water, shake well, add enough tonic to fill bottle 3/4 full, add rum to the top, mix and enjoy

wow a whole week since I have posted? what a bad blogger I have been. the holiday weekend really kept me busy with family get togethers and summer fun. Happy Thursday! First off I want to let everyone know that Lindsay's stamp stuff is having a back to school sale now though saturday it's 30% of everything! have fun shopping. So with it being back to school season (where did the summer go?) I made a project this week to celebrate the most wonderful time of teh year. lol I used the school rules set to make a bookmarker. I colored it with prisma pencils and used a blender pen to soften it. I added a star eyelet and some fun fibers. I must say I'm glad that stack of books isn't my homework.. For my project today I made a pumpkin atc for a swap I'm in. I used the cool pumkins from Lindsay's cute halloween set. This atc also qualifies for teh challenge at a lota rubber stamps. I colored this atc with a prisma marker and shaded it with a prisma pencil, added a saying and it's done. It's Thursday..Lindsay's stamp stuff day

This week I went back to my prim roots! Nothing like the application to my fave craft fair to send me running to my wood room. I had this old beat up frame that was an ugly mahogony color, I painted on a coat of crackle finish then painted it an olive color and sponged on a darker green while it was still wet...frame done. Then I used this swirly crow from lindsays stamp stuff, it from the creepy crow set. I colored the crow with copics, the highlighted the swirls with pearlessence paint (totally cased that idea from Tracey) thanks Tracey. the branch is cut with mu cricut using teh winter woodlands cart. I did the berries with distress stickles. the leaves are prima and I gave them a light coat with the pearlessence paints too. after all was dry I gave it a mist with walnut ink. teh tattered flower on teh frame is made with bazzill cardstock..that's a whole new post to make that, I added a gray prima flower to it & a brad. don't forget to check out Lindsays blog to see what the other fab dt members have been up to and to score a freebie. happy crafting all

notecard for wounded soldiers blankets

Every year at this time a friend of mine in Maryland and a group of women nake blankets for wounded soldiers, adn every year she puts out a call for help with tey notecard to attach to the blankets./ we have to add an eyelet so the can attach it to the blanket and write a little note. This is my notecard this tear, I'm sending in 10.

Sunday gary didn't feel well so we stayed home and I had the best time participating in challenges from paperpatch crafts, I entered 4 challenges and won 2!! great odds, huh? one of the winning cards featured an image from Lindsay's stamp stuff, so I got a plug in there. here are the 4 cards. the challenges were friendship, fall, halloween, and Christmas.

this week Lindsay stamp stuff is sponsering Tuesday morning sketches, we are all to choose a sketch for our cards. I chose sketch number 2. Also Tuesday morning sketches is having a summer theme, so I chose to use Lindsay's seaside sketeches set this week. I ised a sun eyelet in teh top corner and seashell buttons on the bottom corner. I colored it with a combination of watercolor pencils and prisma colored pencils. One of my very talented stamp shack sisters has started a new free digi stamp blog, and this cute forrest & bird image is from her. I colored it with copics, then used a glue pen and out lined the trees and then did a swirl in the middle of the trees, sprinkled on some glitter, and wow, sparkly trees now!

Celebrate!!! It's Lindsay's birthday, so in honor of the big day she is having a 34% off sale at LIndsay's stamp stuff!! here is the chance to pick up some cute new digi sets at a discount. I got teh better part of 2 atc swaps done at Lindsay's the other night. here they are all finished up. one is for an eyelet swap and I used this cute wagon from clear dollar stamps. the other is for an under the sea atc swap, it was rather labor intensive but i like how it came out. I made a sheet of alcohol ink paper for teh sea horse, then cut them out and pop dotted them onto the atc, Gina K stamps used for that.

This weeks project uses one of my fave digi stamps from Lindsays stamp stuff..I love this prim bird on sunflower image from teh pretty primitives set. I did outline the "tweet" bird with glitter..just couldn't help myself, lol. Today's digi card is a quicky that serves as both a gift and a card. It seems I haven't had any time this week to play and this card is a time saver as it's both a gift with a gift card tucked in the cute pocket from the patriotic set from
Lindsay's stamp stuff, and a card too. I used a Cuttlebug folder to emboss the background, and a star stamp on the pocket. I then added the corners and jazzed them up with some stickles. hey everyone, it Thursday, so that means it's time for a Lindsay stamp stuff post! This week I chose to use the new and fab seaside sketches set, and I made a sympathy card with it. I colored the scene with prisma pencils, then did the sky with broken china ditress ink..well I maybe should have left well enough alone..but then I thought hey, some clouds would be nice, so I used a cloud stamp from stampscapes, and here is where I may have gone to far?? I used stormy sky distress ink for the clouds.. I love the card, but are the clouds just too gloomy? Anyhow I love this set and the way it's colored, just not sure of the clouds.
