Happy Birthday Tanya! :) Tanya is such a sweet gal and she is so giving and she loves to help people get their craft on! :) and yep we do call her an enabler too for she does when it comes to crafting paper and um...well among other things...hehe...but she does it with love and so it is her turn to be loved! and she is greatly!

I made a sparkly card for Tanya, cause she adds sparkle to my life with her fun challenges and upbeat attitude. I used starburst sprays from Lindy's stamp gang in 2 shades of pink on the paper doily and then glittered the silk flowers for more sparkle. I added a cute owl on the card and another one inside that I made into a magnet.

I altered an old window

I added rusty tin fence with small wreath, a snowman, star and greenery swag with a few prim berry sprigs. i then added a strand of mini clear Christmas lights to it.

you've got a friend in me

I made this CArd for the Paperhoarders group. The DT was asked to MAke a project about something you are thankful for. This was a hard theme for me right now as i am losing a close relitive right now, he is passing from pancreatic cancer and I am deeply saddened by this. so I am not feeling all that grateful right now. Then I started to think about it and realized the thing that never fails to lift me up and make me feel better is my close friendships. So even in this time of worry and sorrow, I have my friendships to be thankful for. teh stamps are stampin up! and I used shimmer spray from LIndy's stamp gang on the slik flowers and the flourishy thing.

slat flag

this is a slat flag I made from a cedar shingle, scrap of pine(teh star) and slats from a building over 100 years old. it's pretty good size..the longest slat measures 16 inches long.

I outlined it with a glue pen and sprinkled on glitter..I love glitter! the saying is a stamp of unknown source. a little halloween wreath

ok, so the weekend challenge at paperhoarders was to use a die cut on anything but a card. so this is what i came up with..ah little(about 4 inches across) wreath. the spider is from the cricut cart stretch your imagination. the the spider web, ghost and banner are stamps. teh bats are ribbon.

Paperhoarders Design team friday

yup, this is my second dt post for paperhoarders, a face book group of papercrafters. Our assignment was to make something for sweetest day..now i must admit, I don't know if that is an actual day or just a theme, but i took it seriously. So, I made this treat bag for my sweetie. i used a riley image..gotta love moose! I hope this will inspire you to make something for your sweetie. happy crafting to all

altered owls

ok, so this week my wood crafts met my paper crafts and this is the results. I cut 2 owls out of pine with my band saw, I then sanded them and took them to my paper craft area..these tow owls are the results.

I made a few paper Christmas ornies

a friend of mine posted a link with ornies similar to these and I got all inspired to try some myself. IRL these are shimmery and glittery. I used my fave brand of shimmer mist, Lindy's stamp gang, that stuff rocks! lots of dimention using pop dots too.

in a class of your own

I am so excited to announce I made the DT for paperhoarders , it's a facebook group of papercrafters. this is my first assignment, and I used digi stamps from lindsay's stamp stuff my other DT gig..wow I really covered here! lol the cute measuring tape and book images are from lindsays and teh saying is from unity. stampscapes atc

so, yesterday while tropical storm Irene was making the outside wild & crazy, I made calming scenes on atc's. I used stampscapes stamps and distress inks. then I went in with watercolor pencils and added a bit of brown to the rocks and a lighter green to the trees.

anniversary wishes

the facebook group paperhoarders is keeping me creative with the challenges. i made this card for an anniversary challenge. I used stampin up stamps on this, along with some border punches..i do love me some border punches.

Get well soon & a sale

first off let me start by saying Lindsay's stamp stuff is having a 40% off sale today , go get some goodies! ok for this get well card I used a digi stamp from Lindsay's fancy flower set. I colored it with a prisma marker then spritzed it with shimmer mist, I hope you can tell how beautifully shimmery it is IRL. I then added a dimentional to the center to make it pop. hahaha evidently I faux stitch the same way I actually stitch..crooked and uneven..lol Don't forget to check out

An ornie I made for a challenge

the challenge was from paper horders and it was to alter something round. So last weds on my girls night out I "borrowed" a coaster from teh muddy. today i altered it. I used 2 shades of red glimmermist for the background and gold GM for the top thing..what is that called? then I uses very shiny/glittery gold embossing powder over the stamped image. I finished it off with red and gold gems.

Mothers day cards

These are the cards I made for Gary's mom & my mom for Mothers day. I LOVE the new paper I found at joanns that I made the "mom" card with and I just happened to have matching chipboard embellies!!SWEET! that is the card I made for Gary's mom. I made teh bird/flower card for my mom as she loves both birds and flowers. Happy moms day to all you moms out there

it's an Easter sale!!

Lindsay's stamp stuff on sale. I made a card yesterday that would be great for a boys b-day card, I used the sweet stuff digi stamp set, the up up and away set, and the up up and away papers. doily/jar luminary

a friend showed me a link to a jar luminary similar to this and I just knew I had to make this. I used Helmar's acid free glue to adhere the doily to the jar and to my surprise it did not make the doily stiff! I love that it is stills oft on the jar, though trust me it is not coming off. I wanted to make some of these for my craft fair table, so that means I wanted it to have a country/prim feel. so i added some homespun fabric (also adhered with Helmar's acid free glue) and teh I added some prima flowers and buttons with Helmar's 450 quick dry glue..I love this stuff! I will never buy glue dots again. in my pics I have a battery operated tea light ibn teh jar, but a regular tea light candle works well too. I love the pretty designs these luminaries cast on the walls in a darkened room.

A project with Lindsay's stamp stuff!

Lindsay's stamp stuff has some really cute new digi stamps and templates out..I just had to play. for this project I used the basket templates and the new sew much fun digi stamp set. I made a basket of sewing goodies that would make a great gift for the sewing enthusiast you know. I gave myself a mnaicure at work today

ok, so I had some down time..and since I am a spa specialist and had the time, I treated myself to a mani..I am loving my new nail art stamps..pefect for a stamper like me! I used a gunmetal gray color with silver specks for base color & stamped on white.

It;s Lindsays stamp stuff day!

I am back from vacation, both the Carribean (it was fab) and the posting one! I absorbed myself in scrapping my vacation, but I'm back now. For my Lindsay stamp stuff project this week I used the black invite from the Valentine add on kit and the yummy cupcake from the sweet stuff digi stamp set. I added a sentiment from studio G and some stickles. Lindsay has a really cute new soccer party kit, be sure to check that out. lol, this is an atc I made for Joanie's bee knees atc swap at the stamp shack. I used stamps by unity & studio G. I used Helmars gemstone glue with MS clear microbeads on the bees wings..I hope that shows up.

Ok for my project this week I made a cute but quick Valentines card using the Valentine party printables & SVG set. i colored it with a combination of bic mark it markers and prisma pencils. It's Lindsay digi stamp Thursday!

Happy digi Thursday everyone. For my Lindsay stamp stuff project this week I thought I'd try making barn stars with Lindsay's homemade holidays digi paper printed on cardstock. I have made a few of these barn stars on plain cardstock but thought I'd try it with a pattern paper. you can fin the tutorial for how to make the barn stars here. I then made a card by embossing cream cardstock with a star cuttlebug folder them inking it with distress ink. I mounted my star, did a boarder with the same paper and added a button. my friend Joanie lost her sweet girl kitty last week. her furbaby was 17 years old and I know how much she loved her, and she is very sad about losing her. so I wanted to send her a sympathy card. here it is. I hope it helped to cheer her.

tim holtz inspired tags

I am in a swap at the shack fro tim holtz inspired tags. I chose a tag from his 2010 12 tags of Christmas. it was so fun making the snowman one that I made some b-day themed tags for another tag swap. I hope you can see the embosses clear packaging layer over the top of these tags.
