coaster ornies

I saw these someplace..for the life of me I can't remember where..I should have written it down. They are made from round coasters(my trip to the bar last night was strickly for art purposes...NOT!) lol
I covered them with paper, inked the edges and added a stamped image to one and a glittery felt snowflake to the other. The top is Stampin Up! tag punch..love that thing! then I finished it off with some stickles, fiber, and ribbon. fun and easy to make. get your self some round coasters and give them a try.

kitty thank you card

this is a cute story. My brother Dave took in a baby stray kitty when it was only maybe 5 or 6 weeks old. something happened to it's mother and poor kitty was alone. So, Dave adpoted him and his name is LB. Our dads cousin Jim heard about Dave & Lb and at the time Dave was out of work & waiting for disabilty, so he really didn't have extra money for kitty care. Cousin Jim is an an aimal lover, so he started a "trust fund" for LB's vet expenses and meds and stuff. Every so often he adds to it so Dave has $ for Lb's care. well Dave called & asked me to make a thank you card for Jim..he must have made another deposit. so here's the card I made and a pic of Dave with LB.

I had to try it. and I liked how easy it is, and how you can make so many different shaped clouds. here is my first card with clouds!

I sell my cards at the hair studio and day psa I work at. well I got there today and my card rack was looking a little empty, I checked and I sold 10 cards..woohoo! so, now it's time to restock, here's a start. stamps by inkadinkado, I colored this with prisma markers, and prisma pencils.

who says a wedding card can't have some bright color?

not me...thats for sure! I used studio G dollar stamps on this, and some blingy dots from stampemendous. also I added stardust stickles for some bling on the embossed background.
I got the cute heart charm at joans in the wedding aisle, I'll be using these for wedding and Valentine cards too.

in celebration of gas prices going down

I'm wantimg to post some pics of our boat!! it's a 28 foot Bayliner comptessa..yup, thats right, a cabin cruiser, she sleeps 6, has a galley and a bathroom. I LOVE sitting up on the fly bridge and soaking up the sun and fresh air. we are lucky to be so close to the ocean. the river we moore in is tidal and we can be out in the bay in 40 minutes. we love to cruise to Belfast, castine, campden and Rockland. Df has taken her to Deer Isle as well..but I missed that trip. we are hoping to have a full summer of boating this coming summer. so here are a couple pics of the boat, and one of our Friend Bill catching a nice striped bass.

card challenge..sort of

one of my shackies friends offered a few of us this cute image to make a card with,. the stipulation was we have to send our card to another shackie..as an RAK. so this is the super cute image and the card I made with it. I didn't add a lot of embellies, just some stickles on the sunflower centers and a little paper piercing along the scallop border.
